It took as long as needed. You should be super proud. Completing a big project is a real milestone which no one can take away from you. You're probably a bit exhausted and busy launching/patching but don't forget to take a moment and savour that victory. Completion, as you know, is hard!

Also: the game is great, and from what I can see people are enjoying it, so that's a whole extra level of success! It's important to absorb and savour the successes as they are important.

Good luck with your sales! Well done!

I've bought it on Steam (to more easily play on my Steam Deck), told all my friends and will also pick it up on Itch in the next few days. Good luck with it! Roadwarden was one of my most anticipated games. Congratulations on getting released!

Zero pressure, it was just a thought. Do whatever you need to to keep yourself sane. :)

Saw your tweet. Stay strong, keep your head down and look after yourself. Things are tough at the moment and like you I also dropped off social media except for the Discord for my TTRPG. I am now only putting out hopeful/hope punk supplements for Broken Shield. Reach out if you want to hang out with another chilled creator group. Other than that, good luck. Hopefully we can push back the tide of idiocy...

I'm still very excited by Roadwarden. Loved the demos and how it's been developing. You're doing great.

Found you videos by accident and love both of them. Thanks for sharing this and I hope you are able to make more videos in the series as they are super clear and have taught me more about electronics than all my tinkering so far! 😁

Awesome stuff!

I remember that feeling well back when I ran my own indie videogames studio. It could get stressful at times. One of the reasons I'm happier being back writing tabletop roleplaying games. Always enjoyed the game development and writing, didn't enjoy the business development and 'suit' stuff :D

Keep on going - it sounds like you are moving in the right direction, and for what it's worth I will be encouraging many of my friends to get the game as I think they will enjoy it.

wow that's a great post. I like all the changes you've talked about. Sounds like the iterative design process is working well for you. Can't wait to play the full version.

Oooh, time to try it again!

No worries. Stay safe in these strange times! I hope the game development continues well.

A great update post!

Lovely!

This version works fine! BitDefender had no issues this time. Am playing it now :)

Thanks for that, though as Ingix says below I've had no issue with other Ren'Py games (I do a lot of python development  myself). I'll try the next version you release. Happy to buy this game btw - looks very cool!

Really want to try this but sadly my BitDefender is blocking the exe as it detects (correctly or incorrectly) malware in the exe. Sigh. Will try again with a later version. Game looks like it will be my cup of tea, so good luck with it! I will continue to follow developments - saw it on RockPaperShotgun btw
